The Adecco Group CEO joins ILO’s new Global Commission on the Future of Work
2017-08-21
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has appointed Adecco Group CEO Alain Dehaze to its newly established Global Commission on the Future of Work. The 28-member commission will be headed by ILO Director-General Guy Ryder and co-chaired by Stefan Löfven, Prime Minister of Sweden and Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of Mauritius.
“I am thrilled to be part of this important global initiative as I can bring the voice of our industry to the table, offering first-hand labour market insights and practical expertise. Representing the world’s leading workforce solutions group, I witness how socio-economic, demographic and technological trends transform the workplace impacting both companies and workers. One of my goals is to build an inclusive future of work with opportunities for everyone,” said Dehaze.
The Commission will produce an independent report on how to achieve a future of work that provides meaningful and sustainable work opportunities for all. This report will be submitted to the Centenary Session of the International Labour Conference in 2019. The global body is expected to address many of the critical issues of our time that are rooted in the world of work. It will tackle the fundamental question of how a rapidly transforming world of work should be structured so that it can deliver on the values of social justice.
